you octopus, camouflaged rock fish, schools of giant tarpon and
more. He'll teach you how to find almost any marine animal you

Canoeing,
bird-watching, wildlife viewing, swimming, and lots more as
we float deep into the jungle where wildlife is plentiful and
undisturbed. The flat water is perfect for novice canoers and
ideal for wildlife viewing. Local naturalist guides point out
Howler monkeys, tapir, coati, agouti, otter, anteater, iguana,
and "jesus christ" lizards that walk on water. Bird
watching is excellent with over 300 species, including exotic
parrots, trogans, anahingas, toucans, and other colorful tropical
birds. Much of the area is roadless and uninhabited, and few
people run this stretch of river, so you'll
get a real sense of being"way off the beaten path!"
Eve
7 Community Baboon Sanctuary

Monkey Lodge, an exciting riverside lodge right inside the Community

Lamanai Mayan Ruins
Just
like Indiana Jones, we'll take a motorboat up a remote jungle
river, teeming with monkeys, agouti, paca, crocodlies, and over
200 species of tropical birds, to one of the most amazing and
remote Mayan ruins in Belize. Lamanai is an archeological treasure
house, hidden in the jungle and frequented as much by monkeys
as by humans!
Day
11-12 NEW!
Rio Bravo Conservation Area - Jaguar
Habitat
Hidden in the remote, Southwest corner of Belize, this luxuriant
old-growth rainforest is easily one of the most wild and beautiful
sections of Belize and simply the best place to see jaguars
in the country. In the first 3 months of 2003, over 70 jaguars
were sighted, nearly half of them during daylight hours! This
is many times more sightings than even the presegious Cockscomb
Basin Jaguar Preserve can boast!
InnerQuest Exclusive: Enjoy
our famous nighttime Jaguar "hunt" with
local naturalist guides.
