Day 1-4 Caye Caulker - Barrier Reef
Explore the world's second largest living barrier reef. Enjoy stunning snorkeling, and swimming with gentle nurse sharks and eagle rays. We'll explore Hol Chan Marine Reserve, the breathtaking Coral Gardens, and Shark-Ray alley. Have fun challenging Carlos, our native Belizian snorkeling guide, to show you octopus, camouflaged rock fish, schools of giant tarpon and more. He'll teach you how to find almost any marine animal you might want to see! Optional SCUBA diving, kayaking, windsurfing and manatee watching. Two biologist-led slide shows on reef and rainforest ecology prepare you for the different segments of your adventure. Lodging in Beach cabanas.

Day 5 Xunantunich Mayan Ruins,
Explore the famous Mayan ruins at Xunantunich, including an ancient pyramid with panoramic views and a sense of timeless spirit.

Day 6 Barton Creek Caves Canoe an underground river into a spectacular cave, with 100 ft. chambers, stalagmites and more! Dine at a delicious San Ignacio restaurant. Lodging at an exciting riverside treehouse jungle lodge. If we have time, we'll cross the border into Guatemala for a colorful fabric market and cultural exchange.

Day 7 Belize River - Deep Jungle Wildlife Canoe Expedition
Canoeing, bird-watching, wildlife viewing, swimming, and lots more as we float deep into the jungle where wildlife is plentiful and undisturbed. The flat water is perfect for novice canoers and ideal for wildlife viewing. Local naturalist guides point out Howler monkeys, tapir, coati, agouti, otter, anteater, iguana, and "jesus christ" lizards that walk on water. Bird watching is excellent with over 300 species, including exotic parrots, trogans, anahingas, toucans, and other colorful tropical birds. Much of the area is roadless and uninhabited, and few people run this stretch of river, so you'll get a real sense of being"way off the beaten path!"

Eve 7 Community Baboon Sanctuary
Our Belize river trip ends at the remote Howler Monkey Lodge, an exciting riverside lodge right inside the Community Baboon Sanctuary! Howler monkeys are very abundant here and easy to see up close, often in the trees right outside your cabin! Birding is excellent with exotic parrots, trogans and toucans nesting by the lush green riverbanks.

Day 8 NEW! Jaguar Paw Caves
We'll float gently down a jungle stream in innertubes into a revently discovered cave. These underground chambers are a gateway to secret earthly treasures and ancient Mayan history, including articacts, bones, glyphs and more! This isa unique and fun day suitible for all ages and skill levels.

Eve 8 Moonlight Hike for Nocturnal Wildlife
Enjoy a naturalist-guided moonlight hike to see kinkajous, olingo, red-eyed tree frogs, and other nocturnal wildlife.

Day 9 NEW! Black Creek - Deep Jungle Canoeing, Wildlife Viewing & Birdwatching InnerQuest Exclusive!
This is hands-down the best canoe trip in Belize! No other company runs this remote stretch of river. There are more monkeys here than anywhere in Belize! Each bend of this river is home to a new troop. The river is also home to coatimundi, agouti, paca, peccary, iguanas, and other mamals, plus over 300 species of exotic tropical birds, including extremly rare species such as the Royal Flycatcher, Agami Heron, Pygmy Kingfisher, and many species of colorful Parrots and Trogons.

Eve 9 NEW! Crooked Tree Wildlife Sanctuary
Crooked Tree is home to the endangered Jabaru Stork, which has the largest wingspan of any flying bird in the Americas. Flocks of Ibis, Woodstork, Roseate Spoonbills and other exotic waterbirds roost by the thousands in this pristine tropical lagoon.

Day 10 NEW! Lamanai Mayan Ruins
Just like Indiana Jones, we'll take a motorboat up a remote jungle river, teeming with monkeys, agouti, paca, crocodlies, and over 200 species of tropical birds, to one of the most amazing and remote Mayan ruins in Belize. Lamanai is an archeological treasure house, hidden in the jungle and frequented as much by monkeys as by humans!

Day 11-12 NEW! Rio Bravo Conservation Area - Jaguar Habitat
Hidden in the remote, Southwest corner of Belize, this luxuriant old-growth rainforest is easily one of the most wild and beautiful sections of Belize and simply the best place to see jaguars in the country. In the first 3 months of 2003, over 70 jaguars were sighted, nearly half of them during daylight hours! This is many times more sightings than even the presegious Cockscomb Basin Jaguar Preserve can boast! InnerQuest Exclusive: Enjoy our famous nighttime Jaguar "hunt" with local naturalist guides.
